Objective
Nguyen Truong To Scholarship program aims to help college students with excellent academic records, economic hardship and creativity. Our objectives are to award scholarships to supplement students' tuition and living expenses as well as encourage students to pursue college through graduation.

Implementation
Starting with 30 scholarships in 1991, the Nguyen Truong To Scholarship program now grants 300 scholarships annually in Saigon, Can Tho, An Giang, Hue, Da Nang, and Ha Noi. Scholarships are given to various schools such as the University of Polytechnic, Education, Medical and Pharmaceutical, Traditional Music, Agriculture and Forestry. An annual scholarship of $100 to $150 can pay for a student's one year tuition, or it can cover a major part of student's living expenses.

Selection Process
Nguyen Truong To Scholarship's selection process includes announcement, application, evaluation, approval, report, and audit with VNHELP's staff from VN sitting in the selection committee to guarantee accuracy and fairness. Each student also has to submit an essay as well as a transcript.

Seeds of a Ten Year Crop
The Liaison Committee for Nguyen Truong To Scholarship Program is a project established in 2001 by a group of former students who have received and appreciated VNHELP's scholarships. Having graduated and becoming successful, they now help other students by providing financial aid, free teaching, health care advice, and book supply. VNHELP is very proud to provide support and funding for these young professionals, who once needed our help and are now wanting to give back to society through charity work in Viet Nam.   more...
