SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION PROGRAM
Bring Childhood Lessons to Children
Objective
VNHELP School Construction Program provides young children in rural areas with the opportunity to obtain a basic education in a suitable learning environment. VNHELP pays special attention to kindergartners in order to properly prepare them for entering primary school.
Our objective is to build one to four new schools each year in remote areas before giving the maintenance responsibilities to the local people after the school is put into operation.
Implementation
The VNHELP School Construction Program was established in the year 2000 and receives generous support from many donors and private foundations. Numerous old schools have been repaired. From 2000 through 2008, thirty brand-new schools have been constructed and are operating. Each new school is built with high quality construction materials and includes the following: classroom(s), restroom(s), water system, electrical system, electric fans, lights, blackboard, furniture for students and teachers, administration office (optional), fence (optional), playground (optional).
VNHELP also has the School Building Matching Funds Program to collaborate with other organizations or individuals to build more schools in Viet Nam. Please call for more information about the availability of this fund.
